- A high pressure system off the NSW coast is slowly moving over the Tasman Sea, with light winds over Tasmania expected to turn northwesterly as the high moves further offshore. A weak trough is expected to cross Tasmania late today. A cold front is then expected to approach the state from the west on Monday, crossing Tasmania overnight. A southwesterly flow will establish over Tasmania from Tuesday, as a high in the Bight extends a ridge over the state on Wednesday.
