Weather Situation

A low pressure system over the southern mainland is expected to deepen and move to the east coast of Tasmania, before progressing further into the Tasman Sea by early Monday. A ridge of high pressure is expected to extend across the mainland during Monday to direct a westerly flow over Tasmania from Monday to Wednesday. Cold fronts embedded in this flow are expected to cross Tasmania late Monday and again Wednesday. This slow moving high pressure system then moves south of the Bight on Thursday to direct a more southerly flow over the state.
