A high pressure system is expected to move over Victoria today and extend a ridge over Tasmania later in the day. The ridge is forecast to move east on Saturday, ahead of a trough and a cold front expected to approach and cross the state from the west during Sunday. On Monday, a ridge over the southern mainland will direct westerly flow over Tasmania.
