Weather Situation

A high centred well to the west of Tasmania extends ridge of high pressure over the state this evening. The ridge is forecast to persist throughout the weekend and early next week, with a weak trough also expected to develop offshore the east coast on Sunday, lingering into Monday. A weak cold front is then forecast to cross the state on Tuesday.
