A west to southwesterly airstream will persist today, as a ridge of high pressure sits over the southern mainland. A broad low pressure system will move over the southern mainland during Sunday, with an associated trough to sit over Bass Strait. A cold front is expected to move over southern and eastern Tasmania later on Sunday bringing a cold southerly airstream into Monday. with a high pressure centre to slowly approach and move over Tasmania on Tuesday.
