A weakening cold front will cross Tasmania today with the associated low is expected to be just west of the state later today, and then is forecast to cross just to the south of Tasmania during Tuesday. A ridge from a high over New South Wales is expected to build over Tasmania on Wednesday. The ridge likely moves away to the east on Thursday before a northwesterly wind increases over the state.
