- A small low pressure system to the southeast of Tasmania directs a cool west to southwesterly airstream across the state that will persist until the afternoon. Later in the day, a large area of low pressure is expected to move over the Bight and approach Tasmania, extending a warm front over the state through the night. The low complex then moves over Tasmania and remains in the vicinity throughout Wednesday before moving away to the east on Thursday.
