A weak cold front embedded in a westerly flow crosses Tasmania from the west this evening. A trough will linger about the northeast on Saturday, with a ridge to develop over the rest of the state maintaining a west to southwesterly flow. A trough and associated low are expected to approach from the west late Sunday and move over the state on Monday. A ridge of high pressure is expected to develop over Tasmania during Tuesday.
