Weather Situation

A northwesterly airstream over Tasmania on Friday as a low pressure centre and associated cold front approach from the west, crossing the state during the afternoon and evening. A much cooler south to southwesterly airstream is expected to follow early Saturday with a ridge of high pressure forecast to develop over the state through the weekend. A warmer northwesterly airstream is then expected to develop during Monday as the ridge gradually moves to the east and a cold front approaches from the west.
