A high pressure centre over the Tasman Sea is directing a northwesterly flow over Tasmania. A strong cold front is forecast to move over the state from the west late Wednesday and another cold front follows on Thursday, bringing strong west to southwesterly flow across the state, persisting into Friday and easing during Saturday.
