A high pressure system over the eastern states will continue to move eastwards to be in the Tasman Sea by the weekend. The high will continue to extend a ridge over coastal waters for the remainder of the week and early weekend, maintaining a northerly airstream. A cold front is expected to move over coastal waters on Sunday.
