West to southwesterly about 10 knots, reaching up to 20 knots south of Beachport in the late morning and afternoon. Winds becoming south to southeasterly in the late evening.

Southwesterly 2 to 3 metres, increasing to 3 to 4 metres south of Port MacDonnell during the afternoon.

Weather Situation

A weak ridge extends through the coastal waters today. Tomorrow a low pressure system will move into the Bight bring a strong cold front with its passing. As the low moves off the Lower South East Coast Wednesday morning, the associated front will exit eastern waters and continue through Bass Strait. In the wake of this front a high pressure system will move into the Bight, passing over central coasts late Thursday.
