Weather Situation

A high pressure ridge lies over waters to the south of the state while a low pressure trough lies over the east. This pattern will persist ahead of a strong change that is expected to move over the west of the state later today, continuing through central and eastern parts overnight and tomorrow. A cooler, fresh to strong and gusty southwest to southerly flow will follow the change, gradually moderating with the approach of a new high from the west mid to late in the week.
