A high in the Southern Ocean extends a ridge over the state. The high will move northeast on Wednesday and over southeast Australia later this week as a strong cold front moves across the Bight. The low pressure system this cold front extends from will settle west of Tasmania this weekend, with a second cold front moving over the southeast of the state Saturday night or Sunday morning.
