A high pressure system centred over NSW will move eastwards towards the Tasman Sea tonight and on Thursday. A broad low pressure trough is expected to form over western parts of SA on Thursday and track eastwards across central and eastern parts on Friday before clearing to the east by Saturday. Following the trough, a broad southwesterly flow will develop across SA waters with a series of cold fronts passing over the southeast.
