A ridge of high pressure has developed across southern and central Queensland waters in the wake of a low [993 hPa] that pushed offshore Monday evening. A squeeze between the low and the high pressure systems are leading to fresh to strong southeasterly winds, which will ease as the low shifts away to the southeast into Wednesday.
