- Weather Situation
- The monsoon trough extends over the Peninsula waters and will push south into the Cooktown waters later today. Tropical low 29U is situated on the monsoon trough over the northern Coral Sea. The longer term movement and development of 29U remains uncertain, but is most likely to drift towards the coast from Wednesday. A ridge and southeasterly wind surge extends over the waters south of the monsoon trough.
