A trough in the southeast waters will continue moving north, leaving the south Queensland waters late on Friday. A ridge extends over the south Queensland waters in the wake of the trough, maintained by a high [1026 hPa] that will approach Tasmania on Saturday and move into the southern Tasman Sea on Sunday. One or more lows may linger near New Zealand for several days.
