A high [1029 hPa] south of Australia extends a ridge over the southern Queensland waters. The ridge will weaken on today as a trough of low pressure moves in from the southwest. The trough and associated southerly change will push through far southern waters early Wednesday. A new ridge will develop in the wake of the trough on Wednesday.
