A trough inland is heading eastwards and forecast to cross Sydney Waters this morning. A low pressure system has formed within the trough in the northeast of the state as the system enters the Tasman Sea. The low will then remain over the Tasman Sea while whipping fresh to strong southerly winds and large powerful swells to the coastline mid to late this week.
