Weather Situation
Winds are generally light in Sydney waters due to a slow-moving trough pinned between two high pressure systems over the Tasman Sea and Bass Strait. The trough is forecast to move away from the coastal water during Saturday as an approaching cold front pushes it offshore. Fresh northerly winds ahead of this front are expected to shift to a gusty southerly change as the cold front reaches Sydney during Tuesday evening.
