Fresh to strong west to southwesterly winds over Sydney Waters today (Thursday) in the wake of a cold front. Winds will gradually ease from later Friday through the weekend as a strong high-pressure system moves over the Bight and extends a ridge over Sydney Waters. Winds will then become onshore southeasterly early next week as the high slowly drifts eastwards.
