- A high pressure system over the Tasman Sea extends a ridge over northern part of the coast, bringing moderate to fresh northeasterly winds to Sydney waters, while a trough extends from northwestern NSW through to the southern coast. Winds will remain northeasterly until late Monday or early Tuesday when the trough will move east into the Tasman, bringing a southerly change to Sydney waters as a new ridge builds along the coast.
