A strong high pressure system over Tasmania and a low pressure system moving over New Zealand will continue to drive fresh to strong southerly winds and large, powerful waves to the Sydney Waters until Wednesday. Then, the high will enter the Tasman Sea on Thursday while a weak trough develops off the Sydney Coast. Winds will gradually turn northerly on Saturday as a ridge from the high builds over the Sydney Waters.
