- Weather Situation
- A high pressure system currently over the Tasman Sea extends a ridge over much of the state, bringing east to northeasterly winds to the coastal waters. A low pressure trough will cross the state during the weekend in association with a cold front skimming the south, maintaining east to northeasterly winds along the northern coast and bringing strengthening north to northeasterly winds to the central and southern coast today, then tending west to northwesterly on Sunday before of a southerly change reaches southern and central parts of the coast. On Monday, another high pressure system moves over the Tasman Sea extending a ridge over the state bringing predominantly southeast to northeasterly winds.
