Broken Bay to Port Hacking

Weather Situation: A high pressure system over the southern Tasman Sea is bringing east to northeasterly winds along the north coast, while a low in the Bass Strait extends a trough off the South Coast, bringing south to southeasterly winds. Another trough over the northern inland will deepen to a low pressure system over southern Queensland or northern inland New South Wales later today or early Thursday. The low will traverse the northeast quarter of the state on Thursday, before entering the coastal waters of the Hunter or Mid North Coast by Friday and moving further offshore over the weekend, with fresh to strong south to southwesterly winds in its wake.

Wind: East to northeasterly below 10 knots becoming southeasterly before dawn then tending southerly 15 to 20 knots in the morning.

1st Swell: Easterly 1.5 to 2 metres, decreasing to 1.5 metres by early evening.

Wind: South to southeasterly 15 to 25 knots tending south to southwesterly 20 to 30 knots during the morning and early afternoon.

1st Swell: Southerly 1 to 1.5 metres, decreasing to around 1 metre during the morning, then increasing to 1 to 1.5 metres later in the evening.

Weather: Cloudy. 95% chance of rain. The chance of a thunderstorm offshore in the early morning.

Wind: Southwesterly 20 to 30 knots turning westerly 15 to 20 knots during the evening.

Seas: 1.5 to 2.5 metres, decreasing to 1 to 1.5 metres during the afternoon or evening.

1st Swell: Southerly 1 to 1.5 metres, increasing to 1.5 to 2 metres during the evening.
