A high pressure system over the Bight is extending a ridge over New South Wales, bringing south to southwesterly winds to the local waters. Winds will turn easterly to northerly as the high moves eastwards and enters the Tasman Sea during the weekend. A series of fronts is forecast to cross the local waters from the south early next week, bringing fresh south to southwesterly winds in their wake.
