- A low pressure system over the the Tasman Sea is moving away to the east whilst a ridge of high pressure is building from the northwest, bringing moderate to fresh south to southwest winds to the local waters today, A cold front will move through the state during the weekend bringing moderate west to southwest winds through to Monday. A more vigorous front and series of low pressure troughs next week will bring fresh and gusty west to northwest winds from Tuesday.
