Southerly winds over Sydney Waters are gradually easing, and forecast to turn north to northeasterly over the coming days as a high pressure ridge builds across coastal waters. Northerly winds will strengthen midweek as a high pressure system moves into the Tasman Sea, then a cold front and its associated trough look set to move across Sydney Waters later in the week, bringing a fresh and gusty southerly wind change in its wake.
