Winds are turning north to northeasterly through today as a high pressure ridge extends across the state. A cold front and its associated trough are forecast to cross Sydney Waters on Tuesday, bringing a fresh and gusty southerly wind change in its wake. Southerly winds will gradually weaken and turn east to northeasterly through midweek as another high pressure system drifts across the state. Then, a trough brushing the southern and central parts of the coast will bring a brief southerly change later in the week.
