- Weather Situation
- A trough over the northeastern areas of the state will slowly contract to the far northeast today, bringing a west to southwesterly change in its wake while weakening. Winds will become southerly, then turn east to northeast midweek ahead of a strong cold front that will cross the state on Thursday. Strong west to southwesterly winds will follow in its wake, with potential gale force winds further south, as a low forms off the far South Coast between Thursday and Friday. Winds will then gradually ease later Friday through the weekend as these systems quickly head off to the Tasman Sea while a high-pressure system moves over the Bight and extends a ridge over the coastal waters.
