Weather Situation

A strong high pressure system over the Tasman Sea is slowly drifting eastwards while directing north to northeasterly winds over Sydney Waters. A trough is forecast to sweep Sydney Waters this morning, bringing a southerly wind change in its wake. Winds will then turn northerly again later in the week as the trough weakens and another weak high pressure ridge develops in the region. A cold front sweeping the south looks set to bring another southerly change on the weekend.
