A weakening ridge of high pressure over the northern coast will direct a east to northeasterly flow today, while a trough bringing a fresh southerly change reaches the Sydney Waters this evening. Winds will maintain strength and turn southeasterly over the southern and central coastal waters as the trough stalls on Sunday, before weakening and gradually turning east to northeasterly early next week as a high pressure system slips south and extends a ridge over the coastal waters early next week.
