- Freshening north to northwesterly winds are forecast to develop ahead of a cold front that will cross Sydney Waters later Tuesday. The front will bring fresh and gusty westerly winds in its wake, and the westerly winds will persist midweek as the deep low linked to the front moves across Tasmania and enters the southwestern Tasman Sea. Winds will then turn south to southwesterly after the second cold front on Friday.
