- A high pressure ridge lies across the Sydney local waters this morning. The winds will turn northerly later this week ahead of a cold front that looks set to begin affecting Sydney this afternoon and continue Saturday. The winds will turn westerly in its wake late Saturday or during Sunday. In the new week another cold front is forecast to brush the southern parts of the coast bringing a southerly change up the coast most likely on Tuesday.
