Weather Situation

A high pressure system currently over the Tasman Sea extends a ridge over much of the state, bringing light and variable winds to the local waters. A low pressure trough will cross the state during the weekend in association with a cold front skimming the south, bringing moderate northerly winds on Saturday, then tending westerly on Sunday before a southerly change arrives late Sunday morning or early Sunday afternoon. On Monday, another high pressure system moves over the Tasman Sea extending a ridge over the state bringing southeasterly winds.
