Southerly winds across NSW coast today from an offshore trough near the south coast, turning north to northwesterly during the day except for Byron coastline where a trough could linger. A new cold front is forecast to move up the coast as a strong southerly change during Tuesday before being replaced by the next high pressure system during Wednesday gradually turning the winds north to northwesterly again. North to northwesterly winds freshen during Thursday as the next trough and cold front approach from inland NSW.
