A high pressure system near the western border will slowly move east over the coming days as a low pressure trough deepens along the northern New South Wales coast, bringing fresh to strong southerly or southeasterly winds through to the weekend, moderating along the southern coast from today. The trough will form a low pressure system over the southern Coral Sea or northern Tasman Sea during the weekend, promoting strong southeasterly winds along the northern coast.
