Winds are forecast to ease and generally shift westerly today as a series of cold fronts brush the south. Then, another high pressure system is forecast to move into the Tasman Sea later into the weekend, gradually backing the winds north to northeasterly by Sunday. Winds are forecast to freshen during early next week as the next front approaches the coastal waters, crossing by mid next week.
