Weather Situation
A broad low pressure trough in the west, together with a high pressure system centred over New Zealand, are bringing east to northeasterly winds to the coast over the next few days. A low is forecast to form within the trough as it moves to the state's northeast midweek, then the low is forecast to enter the coastal waters on Friday before heading offshore during the weekend, with south to southwesterly winds in its wake.
