- A slow-moving high pressure system over the Tasman Sea is directing east to northeasterly airstream over coastal waters. Winds will turn south to southeasterly on Friday and persist through the weekend as a trough moves up the coast while another high drifts across Tasmania and enters the Tasman Sea during Sunday. The high is then forecast to extend a ridge over the Sydney waters from Sunday into early next week.
