- A weak ridge of high pressure is expected to maintain light to moderate winds from the northeast to southeast, with periods of unsettled weather possible. Winds tend north to northeasterly across the southern coastal waters early next week, with fresher south to southeasterlies possible along the northern coastal waters associated with a low in the southern Coral Sea. Later in the week as the low track into the Southern Tasman and interact with a cold front, a strong and gusty southerly change will push up the coast.
