A trough is moving northwards along the coast, bringing fresh to strong southerlies in its wake. The trough is expected to stall about the central coast during today, then continue north to reach the northern border by Monday. Coastal winds broadly shifty easterly during the new week as a high pressure system settles over the Tasman Sea.
