Fresh to strong southerly winds are prevailing as a strong high pressure system over the Bight extends a ridge over the coastal waters. Winds are forecast to remain southerly into the weekend, while gradually easing, as the high slowly moves southeast, entering the southern Tasman Sea by the weekend.
