A ridge lies over the NSW coast bringing east to southeasterly winds. This ridge will gradually weaken on Wednesday as winds shift southerly. Winds briefly turn east or northeasterly before another, stronger southerly change moves over the coast with the approach of a trough. Winds gradually turn northeasterly as the ridge re-establishes itself along the coast Friday.
