Weather Situation

A high pressure over the Southern Tasman Sea is slowly drifting east towards New Zealand, while a deep low pressure over the eastern Tasman Sea is weakening, maintaining fresh southerly airstream over the coastal waters. Winds over the southern and central coastal waters will tend east to northeasterly mid to late this week as a ridge extending from the high becomes the dominant feature.
