Winds will maintain strength and turn southeasterly over the southern and central coastal waters as the trough stalls on Sunday, before weakening and gradually turning east to northeasterly early next week as a high pressure system slips south and extends a ridge over the coastal waters early next week. Meanwhile, a low pressure system will deepen off the Gold Coast on Sunday, and drive a fresh southeasterly flow to the northern coast through early next week.
