A southerly wind change over the far north coast will stall and weaken this morning. Winds will become north to northwesterly from midweek onwards apart from brief incursions of southerly winds to the far south coast as a high pressure ridge extends from the Tasman Sea to the far north coast while a series of cold fronts skim to the south.
