Light to moderate southerly winds along much of the coast this evening with a low pressure trough lingering over the Tasman Sea near to the coast. The winds will then tend north to northwesterly on Friday as a front approaches from the west before shifting west to southwesterly on Saturday following the passage of the front. Strong winds are possible for southern coastal waters in association with this front.
