Northwesterly 20 to 30 knots tending westerly 20 to 25 knots in the evening then increasing to 20 to 30 knots in the late evening. Winds reaching up to 35 knots offshore south of Green Cape in the late evening.

1st Swell

Northeasterly 1 to 1.5 metres inshore, increasing to 1.5 to 2 metres offshore north of Merimbula by early evening.

Weather Situation

Fresh to strong north to northeasterly winds will shift west to northwesterly this afternoon and west to southwesterly this evening with the passage of a strong cold front. The winds will then shift south to southwesterly Thursday morning and east to southeast Thursday afternoon as a high pressure ridge spreads across New South Wales. This ridge will persist through Saturday when winds will turn northeasterly then northwesterly ahead of the next cold front which will cross the state Sunday.
