Fresh northeasterly winds are developing along the coast as a ridge over the state contracts to the Tasman Sea and a high pressure system forms within it. Then, a trough will enter the south coast on Wednesday and brush the southern and central coasts on Thursday, bringing a south to southeasterly wind change in its wake, before stalling about Hunter or Mid North Coast on Friday.
