Weather Situation

Variable winds in the south will tend west to northwesterly and strengthen this afternoon or evening as a front sweeps through Victoria. Meanwhile, northerly winds along mid northern parts of the coast are shifting southerly today with the passage of a low pressure trough, reaching the far north early Monday. The winds tend west to southwesterly about southern and central waters on Monday as the front moves away over the Tasman. The winds then tend north to northeasterly almost everywhere along the coast from late Tuesday into Wednesday as a new trough approaches from the west.
